Our current issue is number 72

Our Winter cover features Fyvie Murray's sophisticated quilt Baltimore Album VII. The cover concept styling was by Anna  Smith, the photography by Helen Mitchell and the model is Jane Maree Hills.

In this issue we review Wine Country Quilts  - a biennial regional exhibition for quilters from East Cape to Cape Palliser. We showcase a special quilt from the exhibition by Josie Willis celebrating the swinging sixties.

Fyvie Murray is our featured quilter. Fyvie has made seven Baltimore Album quilts in as many years.

We feature Auckland Patchworkers and Quilters' annual Dorothy Collard Challenge quilts. This year members worked around the theme - My Auckland.

We feature wool quilts in our Show and Tell - and our pocket project is a stylish bag stitched from a recycled wool blanket and embellished with felt flowers.

New Zealand themes abound in Blocks of the Month offered by our local shops - we survey a selection.

There are five patterns - Tropical Rain, a foundation pieced Pineapple design by Debra Delorenzo, Southern Comfort - a cosy wool quilt by Irene Anderton, Kaleidoscope Kea a clever wall quilt by Jenny Hunter inspired by our mischevous native parrot and we have the Bearded Iris applique block design from Margaret Matthews award winning quilt Spring Flowers.

The quilting design is Karamu Heart.
