With over 3000 titles in stock, Minerva has the biggest and best selection of textile books available anywhere in New Zealand. We are passionate and knowledgeable about our books. Our mail order service is prompt and we will happily make recommendations, provide friendly advice, or try to source any title you are seeking.

Many of our books are not available elsewhere in New Zealand, some are self-published while others come from small special-interest publishers all over the world. Our range of Japanese books is extensive. Quilt history, Afro-American quilts, surface design and textile dyeing are among our specialties and we have a growing collection of knitting, crochet, felting and design books. Whatever your textile interest, we are bound to have something to delight you.

We also stock a growing range of textile magazines and these are available as single issues or on a fixed subscription basis

Our gallery has constantly changing exhibitions with a textile focus and we stock a range of beautiful textile gifts and cards. Located at the top end of Cuba Street, between Vivian Street and Abel Smith Street our bright spacious shop is just steps away from lots of great cafes.
